Successful entertaining is all about creating a convivial atmosphere, one in which people can relax and enjoy themselves, and one of the key elements in creating this is lighting. Try to avoid harsh overhead lighting and instead use
table lamps and
wall lights to provide background light, with candles in
glass candle holders or
candlesticks, on the table.
